Zhang Hongyan (Male) graduated from Department of History in Northwest University majoring in Archaeology and got his Master’s degree. He is now a professor and Ph.D supervisor in College of Cultural Heritage, Northwest University.

His research are are Chinese Paleolithic Archaeology and Chinese Neolithic Archaeology.

His main research projects include the‘Excavation and Research on Zhongbazi Site in Wanzhou of Chongqing’,‘Environmental and Cultural Research on Wei River Valley in the Pehistoric Time’. The‘Excavation Report of Anban Site in Fufeng County’was awarded the ‘Third Prize of Achievement Reward of Social Science in Shaanxi Province (2003)’.
